HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN IBU DENGAN TEKNIK MENYUSUI YANG BENAR PADA BAYI 0–6 BULAN

Maternal knowledge about breastfeeding plays an essential role in the success of exclusive breastfeeding, particularly for infants aged 0–6 months. Proper breastfeeding techniques help improve maternal comfort, reduce nipple injury, and ensure adequate nutritional intake for the infant. To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and proper breastfeeding techniques among mothers with infants aged 0–6 months. This study employed a cross-sectional design with XX respondents. Data were collected using a structured knowledge questionnaire and an observation sheet assessing breastfeeding techniques. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most mothers had good knowledge and demonstrated correct breastfeeding techniques. There was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and proper breastfeeding techniques (p < 0.05). Maternal knowledge is significantly associated with proper breastfeeding techniques in infants aged 0–6 months. Strengthening breastfeeding education is necessary to support optimal breastfeeding practices.
