ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III

Abstract

Anemia in third-trimester pregnant women remains a significant health problem that increases the risk of complications during pregnancy, childbirth, and fetal health. Various factors such as nutritional intake, adherence to iron (Fe) tablet consumption, socioeconomic status, and pregnancy history are suspected to influence the occurrence of anemia. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting anemia among third-trimester pregnant women.This study employed a cross-sectional design with a total of 72 third-trimester pregnant women as respondents in the Ujung Labuhan working area. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and hemoglobin (Hb) level examinations. Data analysis included chi-square tests and logistic regression to identify the dominant factors influencing anemia. The results showed that factors significantly associated with anemia were iron intake (p = 0.003), adherence to Fe tablet consumption (p = 0.001), education level (p = 0.021), socioeconomic status (p = 0.015), and pregnancy spacing (p = 0.028). Logistic regression analysis indicated that the most dominant factor influencing anemia was adherence to Fe tablet consumption, with an odds ratio (OR) of 4.85 (95% CI: 1.95–12.07). In conclusion, anemia among third-trimester pregnant women is influenced by several factors, particularly adherence to Fe tablet consumption and nutritional intake. Therefore, efforts to improve education, monitor adherence to iron supplementation, and enhance maternal nutritional status are essential to prevent anemia during pregnancy.
