PUBLICATION ETHICS

Interaksi: Journal of Community Service is committed to maintaining integrity, quality, transparency, and ethical standards throughout the entire scientific publication process. This Publication Ethics policy refers to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

This publication ethics policy aims to ensure that all published articles meet academic and scientific standards and are free from plagiarism, data manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other forms of publication misconduct.

1. AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Authors are responsible for the content and integrity of articles submitted to Interaksi: Journal of Community Service.

Authors are required to:

Ensure that the submitted article is an original work and does not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or any other form of academic misconduct.
Ensure that the article has not been previously published and is not currently under review by another journal.
Present information regarding community service activities accurately, objectively, and responsibly.
Present data, methods, activity results, and documentation honestly and without data manipulation.
Use relevant sources and references and provide appropriate citations for the works of others.
Ensure that all individuals who meet the authorship criteria are appropriately listed as authors.
Ensure that all authors have approved the final version of the article before publication.
Disclose the source of funding for the community service activity, if applicable.
Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the implementation of the activity or the interpretation of its results.
Provide supporting data or information when requested by the editor for verification purposes.
Immediately notify the editor if any significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in a submitted or published article.
Cooperate with the editor in making corrections, revisions, or clarifications when necessary.

Authors are not permitted to submit the same article to more than one journal simultaneously. Duplicate submissions and duplicate publications constitute violations of publication ethics.

2. EDITOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The editors of Interaksi: Journal of Community Service are responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the editorial process and ensuring that publication decisions are made fairly and objectively.

Editors are required to:

Evaluate articles based on academic quality, relevance, originality, methodology, and compliance with the journal's scope.
Not discriminate against authors based on background, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or other non-academic factors.
Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts throughout the editorial process.
Select reviewers who have appropriate expertise relevant to the subject of the submitted article.
Avoid conflicts of interest in making editorial decisions.
Not use information or ideas obtained from unpublished manuscripts for personal advantage.
Ensure that the peer-review process is conducted objectively, fairly, and transparently.
Follow up on allegations of plagiarism, data manipulation, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of publication misconduct.
Consider issuing corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, or retractions when serious problems are identified in published articles.
Maintain the academic record of the journal and take appropriate action when errors or ethical violations are identified.

3. REVIEWER RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of published articles. Reviewers are expected to conduct their evaluations objectively, constructively, and professionally.

Reviewers are required to:

Evaluate manuscripts within their area of expertise and competence.
Provide reviews that are objective, fair, constructive, and based on the scientific substance of the manuscript.
Maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscript.
Not use information or ideas obtained through the review process for personal advantage.
Disclose any potential conflict of interest to the editor.
Decline the review assignment if personal, professional, institutional, or academic relationships may affect the objectivity of the review.
Provide clear comments supported by relevant and constructive reasoning.
Inform the editor if they identify indications of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or other ethical violations.
Complete the review process within the specified timeframe.
Not contact the authors directly regarding the manuscript without permission from the editor.

Reviewers must not use, disseminate, reproduce, or gain personal advantage from information obtained during the peer-review process.

4. PUBLISHER RESPONSIBILITIES

The publisher of Interaksi: Journal of Community Service is responsible for supporting the journal's management in maintaining the sustainability, quality, and integrity of the publication process.

The publisher is required to:

Support the editorial independence of the journal.
Provide the necessary facilities and resources to support the publication and peer-review processes.
Not interfere with editorial decisions based on commercial or other interests.
Support editors in handling allegations of publication ethics violations.
Maintain the integrity and continuity of the journal's academic record.
Support the implementation of policies concerning corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary.
Ensure that the publication process is conducted professionally and transparently.

5. PLAGIARISM

Interaksi: Journal of Community Service does not tolerate any form of plagiarism.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

Copying another person's work without proper acknowledgment or citation.
Using ideas, data, images, tables, or text from other sources without appropriate attribution.
Improperly reusing one's own previously published work without disclosure or appropriate citation.
Engaging in duplicate or redundant publication.
Manipulating sources or citations.

Articles suspected of plagiarism may be rejected during the editorial process or subject to appropriate action depending on the severity of the violation and the journal's ethical procedures.

6. CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity of the publication process.
